So there is has already been another dance. We went 4-wheeling for the day date and it was a total blast! We went up to by the windmills where the girl's body was found.
The boys came and woke us up at 6 in the morning. After we actually woke up they took us to IHOP, went 4wheeling, and ate lunch and Jeral's moms. We went home and got ready and they picked us up for the dance. We went to Snake River Landing and danced then went to Red Robin. That was the day :)

An Update

So I have kind of forgot about this, but I guess I can post every couple months :)

Lately I've been doing pretty good.

I had Sweethearts dance in January and it was a girls-choice dance, so I decided mind as well go. Little did I know how much dances cost. After money on a dress, dinner, day-date, hair stuff, jewelry, make-up, and even just asking him to the dance, I had spent a ton of money. I don't have pictures up right now, but when I get home I certainly will.

Being a sophmore... its just another year of school. Its been going great, don't get me wrong. But let me just say I am so excited to take some online classes and graduate early or go to college my senior year still as a high school student. Its going to be great. I plan on getting a degree in Zoology and possibly: Wildlife Management, Biology, or something of that sort. It just kind of depends on how much money I can make. It should be awesome to be out of high school.

Softball starts Monday and lets just say... I'm Stoked!!! I can't wait. It is going to be a total blast starting up another year. I am going to be so busy but it should be well worth it.

Today was kind of a scary day. I have my friend Nikki that lives in Hawaii that used to work at the zoo. There was a possibility of a Tsunami and it was eating at my nerves all day. Her husband is in the Coast Guard so he had to take the ship off to sea so it didn't get ruined at harbor. So it was just her alone going up to the mountains to stay safe. But luckily everything has turned out okay. I am planning on going there the end of March to go visit her and I don't know what I would have done if there would have been a disaster... I am so excited to go on my first trip by myself! My mom is kind of scared but I think she'll live. We haven't set up a specific date yet but it will come soon :) Can I tell you how excited I am? I think not.

Everything else has been going great. Working at the barn again is amazing. I missed it so much that its actually fun to be back doing stuff there and shoveling crap again.

Pictures will be coming when I get home and can upload some :)

This Week

Well this week has over all been really boring. I've been living at the zoo and work.

Saturday was enrichment day and was full of excitement. Every single animal in the zoo got some form of enrichment. Enrichment is objects given to an animal to bring out their natural instincts in doing to something to for example forage for food. There are 5 gallon popsicles to pvc pipe stuffed with mealworms and crickets to paper mache zebras stuffed with meat.

So we have 10 newER baby penguin. They are so messy and smell so bad, but are still adorable. They each have their own african names and name meanings. I am so excited to see how Ajani's siblings grow up to be. They both have really big shoes to fill seeing as how Ajani was our little gift from heaven.

My buddy Kanai

Ajani was our baby penguin from last year that died on July 1, 2009. He was our little "handicap" penguin that was always there to make our days better and was always as happy as can be. Ajani medically had a really hard life. He was hardly ever with all the colony because he was picked on due to his differences. He ended up having cataract surgery and had a really bad limp from athritis, he was our Benjamin Button penguin. His name Ajani in African actually ment the one who wins the strugle, which was completely true because he won the strugle of life. When they did the necropsy (like an autopsy but on animals) they figured out that he had a misplaced juglar, a full gallabladder and a bunch of other problems. Ajani will always be in our hearts.

I am however excited for this week to finally come! I am probably going to make a ridiculous attempt and try out for soccer and this week is pre-season stuff. I will have to see though, because of work and school and grades. We have practice things every night this week for like 3 or 4 hours a night. I already know I'm out of shape, I'm not ready to actually prove it to myself! I can't even run around the stupid block once without stopping, let alone a mile! Jeeze, what have I decided to do?

Extra Long Break

Well i guess I've kinda forgotten about my blog for a.......while.

Life has been good.  I'm so not excited to go back to school! I am going to be a sophomore but am still not excited at all. At least i'm not going to be a freshman again.......well until college I guess.

I just got back from alaska and had a blast with my grandpa.  We took a flight over to Katmai Island and I was in heaven with all the bears.  We got some pretty awesome pictures and seriously had a blast.

Party

Yesterday was Halloween, and what's Halloween without a party? Not Fun.  So I invited some friends over and we partied.  We did a door-to-door Scavenger Hunt, watched Disturbia, scary stories, and a few slept over.  It was awesome.  Oh and don't forget the trick-or-treating with out snow!! It was seriously weird that there wasn't any snow and it was the perfect temperature.  I had Emily, Shelby, Jerie, Cierra, Chippy, Shannon, Karlie, Challis, and Taylor over.  Shelby, Jerie, Cierra, and Chippy were the only ones that could actually stay the night, but the others didn't leave until like midnight.  While we were having fun Connor and Preston were outside trying to scare the little trick-or-treaters.  Then they went and got candy.

Pumpkins

On Friday Stu and Becky came over and we carved some amazing pumpkins.  We went to Dr. Slaughters House of Terror which is a haunted house put on by D.A.R.E. which wasn't scary to me but according to my mom, Preston, and Connor was.  Preston came over afterwords with us and carved his home grown pumpkins.  It was really fun.  My mom carved two pumpkins with smiley faces, Connor carved the cutest smiley face, my dad carved sponge bob, Stu and Becky carved a crazy smiley face, and I carved a retarded graveyard thing from what I call a cheat sheet.  My dad took out the roto-zip thingy to carve his. In the end they were all sweet.

Halloween

On Wednesday and Thursday I helped out with Boo at the Zoo.  It was so much fun, even though I got attacked with a hammer by a kid and was sick of kids by the end of it.  I never knew how much stuff was put into this kind of stuff before I helped out.  I thought of it to be a little thing where little kids came to get candy, but it took two weeks of preparation to be ready.  There are like hundreds of real and plastic pumpkins.  We all had to carve pumpkins for about six hours to get all the way done and there were like thirty people.  Then there were blow up figures and a bunch of lights shaped like pumpkins and ghosts.  The event thing was open from 5-9 and just in the first hour there were 990 or so people through the gate, then there were 800 people per hour from 6-9.  It was seriously AMAZING.

School!!

Today was the first day of school. Connor said it was the best first day of school ever. Mine it was just the same, okay. Connor said Mrs. Miller was awesome and was totally nice. Me with all my nine teachers it was okay. Running around the school in a HUGE boot isn't the best. I started out the day with an assembly that was great. It just explained everything and the cheer team did a little thing. A girl I don't like was up in the little holding position with three people holding her, and she was falling back to land and almost killed her self. First hour I had spanish, then teen living, honors geometry, science, english, teen living b, and journalism.

Camping

Just a while ago we went on a way fun camping trip.  We went and stayed at a camp ground with some funky name. Gr... something.  It was way fun.  My moms friend is from Czech Republic so her friends were visiting from the Czech.  Can you believe that they had never been camping.  Paubel had been camping once.  Eva had never been.  They had been missing out on ALOT.  We went and hiked, played and all of the fun stuff.  In our campground we had three moose it was awesome.  The picture didn't turn out that great, sorry.

END OF JZC!!!

The end of Junior Zoo Crew was the other day(even though I'm still going all winter). It was a very sad day for me. It just reminded me that school was that much closer. Not the best feeling!!  JZC has been REALLY fun this year.  I still don't have a favorite area.  Every area has its pros. Area 1 is way fun because of all the hands on interaction and Makina and Timba(the penguins that i LOVE). Plus the pelicans, macaws, magpies, and flamingos. Makina was a little angel to me, she is such a sweet heart. Timba is a little brat but I love her anyways, she is the one that bites me A LOT, but she is still a sweet heart.  Sadly Timba leaves our zoo in September but at least I still have Makina. Area 2 rocks too just because of all the cool animals and all. Zues and Paupy are my favorite animals in that area. They're singing dogs. They are so sweet. Feeding the Tawny Frog Mouths is awesome too.  And my little Duiker.  Area 3 is another sweet area. Pooh and Pen are the greatest monkeys. But then there is Ralphy and Dennie. They are both awesome.  The otters, golden eagles, coati, alligators, squirrels, vultures, tortoises, and all those guys are cool to.  I just don't necessarily want to jump in and train an alligator.  Area 4 is cool just because of the danger involved.  Dahoma, Sikari, Mfish, and Ahajdi are my little lion angels.  There's also camp kawanja too now.  And Kashka and Siolni(don't think i spelled that right) are my ferocious tigers. And never to forget Bud and Sis the camels, the zebras, miss. pissy and africa the servals, Creamer and Ashanti the mona monkeys, or the red pandas. And soon to be the sloth bears!!! Bye now your probably bored to death but oh well.  Lets just say I had a great summer.
